How to Refer
We value the opportunity to work with you to provide holistic and comprehensive mental health care for mutual patients. To discuss a referral in detail, simply contact us and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
General Practitioners
We welcome referrals under the Better Access Initiative. A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is required for clients to access Medicare Benefits.
If you’re a General Practitioner, then you can refer your patient for Focused Psychological Strategies (under the Medicare rebate sessions - Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan).
Medicare Rebates for Psychological Support under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative that Lively Lifestyles Psychology can be referred under are:
-
MBS Item No. 80110 – Session 50+ mins – Individual ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’
-
MBS Item No. 80111 – Session 50+ mins – Telehealth ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’
-
MBS Item No. 81000 - Session 30+ mins - 'Pregnancy Support Counselling'
-
MBS Item No. 93026 - Session 30+ mins - Telehealth 'Pregnancy Support Counselling'
Psychiatrists
If you're a Psychiatrist, a referral letter is required. For your convenience, our pre-formatted Referral Letter Template is available with our contact details provided within.
Obstetricians
If you are an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist, a referral letter is not required in order for a patient to access a Medicare Rebate (only GP or Psychiatrist can organise a MHCP). However, we do welcome a referral letter so that we can better understand your patient's circumstances and needs that you may have identified.
